Our Wild Legacy

For nearly three decades, Peter Gerbert’s wildlife artwork has been part of the Florida Wildlife Federation story, helping bring Florida’s wild places to life for FWF supporters. This collection features a selection of his detailed wildlife paintings, celebrating the animals that have shaped Florida’s landscapes and captured our imagination for generations. These species are more than part of our past; they’re a living legacy that’s here today for us to appreciate, protect, and pass on.

Peter R. Gerbert’s work is inspired by time spent exploring Florida’s wilderness and observing wildlife in the field. His detailed, lifelike paintings reflect a deep appreciation for the animals and habitats that make Florida unique, and his nearly 30-year relationship with FWF reflects a shared commitment to keeping that legacy alive.
